4Tbsp Sugar

1 Tbsp Cinnamon

½ tsp Nutmeg

½ tsp Salt

+ Butter

+ Vegetable Oil

Preparation

Custard

  • Whisk the six whole eggs, two egg whites, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a shallow container.

  • Slice the day-old brioche loaf into thick slices (about ¾ inch).

  • Dip each slice of bread into the custard. Allow the bread enough time to soak on each side before flipping.

Turn up the Heat

  • Heat a non-stick griddle over medium heat.

  • Butter the griddle and drizzle a neutral oil, such as vegetable oil, over the surface of the hot griddle.

  • Fry each side of the bread for about one to two minutes or until golden.

Make 'em Irrisistable!

  • Prepare a spread of toppings to serve with your French Toast. Ideas for classic toppings are a mix of fresh berries, maple syrup, butter, and powdered sugar.

  • To make your creation extra special, pair the French Toast with homemade raspberry jam, homemade whipped cream, and sweetened condensed milk.
